REFORMER PILATES, REIMAGINED WITH GRACE

Step into our six-bed reformer studio in Newcastle and feel like the room was made for you. With only six reformers per class, your teacher has the time and space to really see you, your posture, your breath, your energy that day, so a group session feels closer to a 1:1.

Founded by former professional dancer and Pilates instructor Rose Hartigan, Grace Movement blends intelligent conditioning with the artistry of movement. Every class is grounded in Joseph Pilates’ original principles, concentration, control, centre, breath, precision and flow, but without the ego or intimidation. You don’t need to be flexible, strong or “fit enough” before you start; whether you’re brand new, returning from injury or looking to deepen your practice, we’ll meet you where you are and support you to move with strength, ease and grace..

FAQ’s
  • Foundations focuses on technique, confidence and control at a steadier pace – ideal for beginners or anyone wanting to refine their form.

Signature is our flagship full-body flow, with layered options to work a little deeper once you’re comfortable with the basics.

  • We recommend starting with GRACE FOUNDATIONS or using a Reformer Welcome Offer and choosing slower, beginner-friendly classes to begin with. Your teacher will offer progressions when you’re ready.

  • You can, but we still suggest starting with at least one or two Foundations classes to learn the key movements, cues and how the Reformer works. After that, moving into Signature will feel much more enjoyable and safe.

  • Our Hamilton studio has 6 Reformers, which means small groups, plenty of hands-on guidance and a feel that’s closer to 1:1 than a big gym class.

  • Many clients continue with Reformer during pregnancy with modifications. Please let us know you’re pregnant when you book and chat to your teacher before class. Depending on your stage and experience, we may suggest mat or tailored options.

  • Please arrive 10 minutes early, especially for your first class. Wear comfortable clothing and bring grip socks if you have them (they’re recommended for safety). We’ll provide everything else you need.

  • Most Reformer memberships and packs allow you to book into any regular Reformer classes (Foundations, Signature etc). Check your pass or membership description, or ask us if you’re unsure.
